Gefilte Fish with Vegetables

Gefilte Fish
 

 

Ingredients:
1 Frozen Giffliteh Fish Log (Unger's brand)
Paprika
Parsley flakes


Directions:
Preheat Oven to 375
For best results use a glass baking dish, Grease pan, Remove paper from fish and place in a baking dish, sprinkle on the paprika and parsley flakes. Add some water- just enough to cover the bottom of the dish. Bake for 1 hours covered, remove cover for the last 10 minutes –– until fish is golden brown. 





















Gefilte Fish with Vegetables

Ingredients:

1 Large Onion – Diced
4 Carrots – Thinly Sliced
2 Stalks Celery - Diced
2 Green/Red Peppers - Diced
1/2 Pound Mushrooms – sliced

6 Oz. Tomato Paste
1Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Pepper
1/2 Tsp. Oregano 
2 rolls Gefilte Fish

Directions:
Sauté all Vegetables (onion, carrots, celery, peppers, mushrooms) together in a little bit of oil.


Add Tomato Paste and Spices (salt, pepper, oregano) to sautéed mixture and cook for a few more minutes.

Grease a baking pan (10x 15) Place 1/3 of vegetables on bottom. Unwrap 2 rolls of gefilte fish from paper, place over vegetables and pour remaining vegetables on top. Cover with foil and bake at 400° for 2 hours

Can be served hot or cold





















Pickled Fish


Ingredients:
1/2 cup Lemon Juice
3/4 cup Sugar
salt to taste
2 cups Water
2 large Onions diced

12 (3 ounce) pieces of salmon


Directions:

Combine all ingredients (excluding fish) in a 6 quart pot and bring to a boil. Allow mixture to boil for 15 minutes then add pieces of fish, bring to a boil again, lower flame and cook for half an hour.


Allow to cool and serve.
























Teriyaki Salmon

Ingredients:
1 ten ounce bottle teriyaki sauce
4 shredded carrots
sesame seeds
4 pound Salmon Fillet with skin


Directions:

Grease a large pan, place salmon fillet on pan, pour 3/4 bottle of teriyaki sauce over the whole salmon, put shredded carrots above sauce, pour remaining teriyaki over shredded carrots, Sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake at 350° covered for 1/2 an hour, uncover fish and bake for 10 - 15 more minutes.

Slice and serve.
