As a college football fan, i say this is pretty cool. He plays in the SEC which is the top division really, maybe 1 of 2. The South has great respect for religion and old time American values. hats off to the coach and the university. Reply

Exactly! His determination and faith in G-d helped him to get there, as he expalins in the interview. I also agree, hats off to the coach and university for accomodating him and showing solid values. Reply

Wow! Incredibly inspiring! (Not to knock this awesome role model but perhaps one experiences more antisemitism on college campus if one is not a football star...) Reply

I think claims of anti-semitism on campuses are exaggerated. It's increasing, particularly in the more liberal places, but America in general is a remarkably tolerant country. Reply

I guess antisemitism on campus really depends on which campus.
Have you watched this podcast: Are Jews Safe on College Campus
I chose 3 different campuses to explore what's really going on. Reply

lol, America is not tolerant at all. Take a look at the hate crimes for any marginalized group. Reply

You mean the handful of hate crimes that the press covers in full and the police take action on? We do have a new scourge of black on white hate crimes in schools that is being ignored but that's a recent development. Historically, America has been incredibly good. Reply
